Stour Valley Stitchers

Community Sewing Day.

Do you wish you had more time to sew without interruptions?  Saturday Sewing could be the answer.  Stour valley Stitchers meet on the fourth Saturday of the month in the Hall at Cherington from 10-3 to sew.  You bring your machine and your project, and a bite for lunch, we supply the rest.  The cost for the day is £6, parking is free.

Saturdays are also our Community Sewing Days where we make use of donated and leftover fabrics from projects and turn it into something useful.  This year we are focusing on making tote bags that can be donated to the local Food Bank or used for taking personal items home from a stay in hospital.  We have a variety of fabrics, all we need are willing hands to help us make as many as we can and save these fabrics from landfill.

You do not need to sew to come to a Community Sewing Day.  We need help with cutting out, pinning and ironing too.  If you’re able to help with any of the tasks, and even sewing, we’d love to see you.  Community Sewing participation is free.
