The daffodils have been planted!
This year, the town council has purchased UK-grown daffodil bulbs that are already being planted and will now be left in place to self-seed and multiply rather than being pulled up each year.
Business owners have also agreed to take over the upkeep of the many tubs in Shipston. So we might also see a wider variety of colourful plants around Shipston in the future.
We are encouraging the use of native plants and perennials to discourage waste and to benefit wildlife as well as provide an attractive environment for all to enjoy. If there are empty containers near you, or if you know of spaces that would benefit from planting, please do get involved or let the town council know.
