Citizens Advice South Warwickshire is a local charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice and information on a wide range of subjects. Our help is available to everybody in the community regardless of race, sex, disability, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, religion, beliefs or age.

 

We are open for drop-in sessions at Elizabeth House, Church Street,
Stratford-upon-Avon from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

DASH

DASH, a Shipston based organisation, was founded in 2002 to reduce drugs usage and drug related crime and to also raise awareness of drugs issues in the community. The work of DASH has already led to much activity in the community towards helping reduce drug usage. Since the youth project began in 2003, the youth workers have worked with over 3000 teenagers providing advice on drugs, sexual health and career options. Rehab Guide (Addiction Advice Helpline)

We run a service assisting individuals who suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction. Our 24/7 helpline allows people to phone and chat with our team of addiction counsellors regarding their sobriety or a loved one in need of help.

We currently help with the following advice:

  • Library of addiction advice and information for specific members of the community such as students, veterans and more
  • Where to find local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA & NA) meetings
  • Locate local addiction one-to-one counsellors
  • Advice on maintaining sobriety
  • Set up of sober companions 'Buddy System' to support through the first part of early recovery
  • Information on free and private rehabilitation advice
  • Large database of information on drug types, symptoms and how to detox safely from them

Shipston on Stour Baby and Toddler Group

We are a toddler group for children from birth up to school age and their parents/carers who meet every Monday during (Warwickshire) term time 9.30 to 11.00 at The Scout Hut in Shipston. Children get playtime, crafts, a healthy snack and singing each week and parents/carers get tea/coffee and sometimes cake and biscuits! Please come along and join us. First visit is free, thereafter we charge just £2, with extra 50p per additional child.
