November update

Thank you to those home-based businesses that responded to the online survey on economic activity in the Summer, as well as those traders completing our postal survey now. If you missed out on either of these, please contact Erry Lilley on the number below.[nbsp]

This evidence is adding to and informing the options that might exist for supporting Shipston’s economy and business community through the Neighbourhood Plan.[nbsp]

Through previous public consultation we know that the mix of retail shops and local businesses is something that is valued in Shipston, and that you want more of. Getting the business views on what enables or restricts them now or in the future is important.

You perhaps do not need our data to visibly see the upward trajectory that population and dwellings in Shipston has seen over the last 30+ years. However, when you do consider the actual figures it is startling, and you will see from the report elsewhere that there is an increasing proportion of the town’s population aged over 65.[nbsp]

This looks set to continue and implications for the growth and development of the town in this context are important considerations.[nbsp]
