Our Neighbourhood Plan

Are you interested in helping shape the future of Shipston?

Then let Cllr Paul Tesh, the Chair of the Town Council’s planning committee know. He is looking for volunteers to help in the creation of a new Neighbourhood Plan. These plans have to be renewed every few years to reflect the needs of communities. Shipston’s current plan is valid until 2031 and work needs to start on the next one.

Neighbourhood Plans are specific to individual towns and communities, and prospective developers have to take them into account when submitting their applications to Stratford District Council for housing development. Planning is going through a multitude of changes at the moment and having a robust Neighbourhood Plan is important.
