A popular walk for Shipston residents has been improved. Cotswold National Landscape volunteers have refurbished the footbridge at Fell Mill where it crosses the River Stour as part of the long-distance Centenary Way path towards Honington.
The old bridge planks had rotted and new timber was supplied by Warwickshire County Council. Signage and posts along this path have been updated to help walkers to keep to the correct routes.
The bridge forms part of a circular walk from the main bridge in Shipston across to Fell Mill and back again over the Stour to come out at Springhill Close on the Stratford Road.
Cotswold National Landscape helps WCC to maintain paths, stiles and bridges across much of south Warwickshire. For more information see www.cotswolds-nl.org.uk
